Art Classes

Classes are proceeding well with some very talented students progressing rapidly through the materials and techniques.  The Monday night class can accommodate only 2 more artists.  Sunday night still has spaces for 3 new artists.

Art students travelling from Ballarat and Beaufort may be interested in sharing transportation with others already travelling from these areas.

Juli Davine (an art teacher of 15 years experience) is holding Introduction to Art classes at Skipton Art Gallery, 2 nights a week. There are several places left in each group. Oil Painting will continue until mid April, along with limestone carving.  Our next medium will be acrylic paintings.

Classes are to be limited to a group of 10 and general art materials will be supplied.

Cost - $20 for 2 hours.

Class Times:

Sunday evenings – 5pm to 7pm

Monday evenings – 5pm to 7pm

Topics to be covered will be the use of art materials such as graphite, charcoal, chalk pastel, oil pastel, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, poster paint, watercolour paint, acrylic paint, collage, printmaking, sculpture, etc, etc,etc.

All aspects of creating artworks from composition, perspective, tones, colour mixing, application, glazing, etc, etc, etc will also be covered.

No experience is needed – just a desire to work with a variety of materials and styles in a nice warm friendly atmosphere.  All ages from High School students on welcome
