Skipton Gallery & Cafe

This beautiful art gallery and cafe is located in the township of Skipton, a friendly historic village 50km west of Ballarat, Vic along  the Glenelg Highway

Skipton Art Gallery is to be found at 36 Montgomery St Skipton in a lovingly restored 150 year old bluestone building.    It took 9 months to restore the old forgotten grocery store into a glorious 4 room gallery space with abundant natural light. 

Artworks by numerous local and regional artists grace the walls giving the visitor a welcome introduction to the artistic talent of our region.  There are artworks in all mediums and styles and with such a great number of talented artists there is always something new to see.

We are still accepting submissions from artists for exhibition space and also for the stockroom.  All artists are invited to contact the gallery with examples of their work.

Skipton Art Gallery carries artwork in a variety of styles from Traditonal to Modern in a number of mediums.  There will be a changing array of artworks and artists and will be definitely worth a regular visit.  There are a number of indigenous artworks on display at any time.
